TVXQ released their sixteenth Japanese single, "Purple Line", on January 16, 2008. It debuted atop the Oricon, becoming the group's first number-one in Japan and making them first foreign male group to have a number-one single in Japan .

They then released their third Japanese album, T, which debuted at #4 on the Oricon Weekly album chart.
TVXQ's label Rhythm Zone, announced the "Trick" project where five singles would be released consecutively for six weeks, from February to March and each single would contain a solo track by a member.

The group released their twenty-third single, "Beautiful You / Sennen Koi Uta" in April. The single became another number-one for the group and made them the first non-Japanese Asians with two number-one singles since Ou-Yang Fei Fei set the record 24 years before.

They returned to Korea to participate in the 14th Annual Dream Concert at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul on June 7.On June 12, TVXQ concluded their Asia Tour in Beijing which had begun on February 23, 2007 in Seoul.TVXQ returned to Japan and released their twenty-fourth single, "Dōshite Kimi o Suki ni Natte Shimattandarō?" The single topped the chart, making TVXQ the first foreign artists to have three number-one singles on the Oricon.

They performed at Avex's 20th anniversary meeting and at A-Nation '08.In August, TVXQ returned to Korea once again to take part in SMTown Live '08. They performed alongside label-mates BoA, Cheon Sang Ji Hee the Grace, Zhang Liyin, Girls' Generation, Shinee and Super Junior.

The group's fourth Korean album, Mirotic, was slated to be released on September 24 but due to the large number of pre-orders was pushed back two days.

Like their previous Korean album, Mirotic debuted atop the charts with 307,974 copies sold.In early January 2009, the album's sales totaled 502,837 copies, making it the first Korean album in six years to pass the 500,000 mark.

In October, TVXQ released "Jumon: Mirotic", the Japanese version of Mirotic's title track. The single topped the Oricon chart, breaking the record that the group had set with their previous single.TVXQ attended Kōhaku Uta Gassen Music Festival on New Year's Eve, making them the first Korean group to attend.

Their twenty-fifth single "Bolero/Kiss the Baby Sky/Wasurenaide", released in January 2009, became another number-one for the group.In March, TVXQ released their twenty-sixth single "Survivor" which debuted at #3 on the charts susequently ending their number-one streak.

"Survivor" was followed by their fourth Japanese album, The Secret Code, which debuted at #2 on the charts.To support the album they embarked on their fourth concert tour, Tohoshinki 4th Live Tour 2009: The Secret Code, which ended at the Tokyo Dome, making them the first Korean group to perform there.

On April 22, 2009, they released their twenty-seventh single "Share the World/We Are!". The single debuted atop the charts, extending their Oricon record.Their twenty-eighth single, "Stand by U", was released on July 1, 2009 and debuted at #2 on the charts.

A five member boy band. The members include (from oldest to youngest): Kim Jaejoong/Youngwoong Jaejoong/Hero Birth date:26-01-1986 Debuted with the mysterious and cold personality image. He was at first given the role as main vocals but later on, that role just depended on the song they sang. He was discovered with great vocal talents, though he didnt start out that way, and had won a award for being seriously good looking. He used to smoke but has stopped now. He’s very talkative and loves making balloon animals and cooking. He is mostly known for: vocals, cute laugh, good looks, cold first impression, and cooking skills.

Jung Yunho/u-know yunho Birth date:06-02-1986 Debuted as the manly leader of the group. Was given the role of the leader since Jaejoong didnt want it and neither did the rest of the members. He was discovered in a dance competition. He is mostly known for: dance skills, delicate face, and being the leader of DBSK .

Park Yoochun/Micky Yoochun Birth date:04-06-1986 The last minute member. He debuted with the role of a gentle and romantic guy, though in reality he’s a complete prankster that likes to play with peoples minds. He was discovered in the US and was brought to korea for training before the debut of DBSK . He is mostly known for: being very romantic, pranks, being able to speak english with less of an accent than the others.

Kim Junsu/Xiah Junsu Birth date:15-12-1986 The angel of the group. He debuted with the image of high class, and charisma, but after a certain incident, he became the cute and adorable Xiah pratically all of asia loves. He was the first to be part of DBSK , and had wait , i think, 6 years, before he debuted. THe worst times of his life was when his voice was changing, spent three years with a cracked voice, unable to sing. He is mostly known for: his angelic smile, angelic laugh, heck, known for being a complete angel!

Shim Changmin/ChoiKang Changmin/Max Birth date:18-02-1988 The youngest of the group. Debuted with the cute and adorable image, but after the incident with Junsu, Changmin grew his hair out, got a way darker tan, and grew taller, changing his image to Tall, Dark and Handsome! He is mostly known for: his ability to eat 7 meals a day, adorably happy expression where his eyes are somewhat mismatched, and being the youngest yet tallest of the group.

13. Jaejoong and Yoochun both dropped out of high school.

15. Jaejoong wants to marry a fan- he believes that he`ll end up marrying a fan anyway.

16. Junsu wants a bright girl with a positive outlook of the world. Yoochun thinks it`s because Junsu is a negative person.

17. Yoochun doesn`t want to get married. (Junsu disagrees...he thinks that he MUST get married...)

18. Jaejoong wants 2 daughters and 1 son while Junsu wants 2 sons and 1 daughter. Yunho wants 5 sons and 20 daughters - Junsu says "Think of your wife!" and Jaejoong says "Are you trying to kill somebody?"

19. Yunho wants a girl who is assertive and has senses - someone who can guide him.

20. Changmin wants to marry someone who is girly and who will attach herself easily because he is shy and quiet.

21. Yunho`s message to his future son is "I love you".

22. Junsu thinks that dating and marriage are the same thing because he sees the girl he`s dating as his future wife. He has to like the girl that much (enough to see her as a hopefully Mrs. Kim Junsu) in order for him to date her - he doesn`t want to date just anyone. He`ll date her to a point where he wants to marry her. (Changmin agrees with him.)

28. Junsu was suppose to debut earlier, but due to puberty...he lost his voice. He would always go and scream hoping his voice would come back.

29 Before debut, Max would make up excuses as to why he missed class. Each time it was always a relative's funeral and when he couldn't make that up he'd say something else. No one was curious because Max has a wide range of relatives. : )

30. Micky likes to sleep listening to music on his walkman. He tends to drop it, so at nighttime Junsu might get hit with a walkman or book or something. (That was when they had bunkbeds...)
